Hey, how are you?! I have a delicious recipe for my black bean brownies for you below plus some contemplation on my part.
We just got back from a lovely few days away. A short vacation to Denmark, a 10 hours drive to a beautiful country, nice people and lots of nature. Tranquility.
A place for major realisations and discoveries about the small and bigger things of life. I have been in search mode for a new direction for my work, website and food. I have the feeling that there is a missing link between the raw food I thrive on and love, and the traditional healthy diet. I think I need to explore the gap I see, the grey zone and make food to draw these to closer to each other. Keeping allergies in mind and always pH balancing.
What does this mean?
Food for the Family, Plant based, refined Sugar Free, Nutritious, pH Balancing, Organic, Gluten Free, Natural, pure, Raw, High Raw, Kids Approved, Quick, High Raw, Slow Cooked and Good tasting. That is what I am going for!

Lot of new inspiration! More recipes and information about what I feed my family.
To make it all easier. No more preparing 2 or 3 different meals for dinner. One for yourself and something else for your family. Dishes and meals that are more interchangeable, The fact is that not many people eat 100% raw or even want to. But there are many people and families that are open to eating more greens, more salads, more balanced pure foods.
I will share my discoveries and experiments about creating good food, kids approved with lot of raw and only pure and nourishing ingredients. About finding balance. I am a raw fan! The benefits are huge and to be underated. Finding a way to make healthy high raw, nurishing, plantbased and healthy dishes and meals more doable.
With more energy, a slender body, finding your happy weight, healthy and balanced kids, more freedom as a result …
One more discovery during a long beach walk! Allowing myself more freedom and keeping the door open of the box I put myself in. Freedom. Listening more to my feelings and intuition. That is the way to find the right diet which a your body can thrive on!
One example,
Running. I can run, I run, but lately I do not seem to enjoy it as much. May be because I practice a lot of yoga which brings more stillness while being quite challenging. IFirst when I started running I always listened to music. Now, without and it feels great! I get the greatest realisation and answers while doing the miles. I do enjoy walking, high speed! I see a lot of people running but that does not have to mean that I have to be doing the same?! For now, walking feels so good, like a power meditation!
I have been living with self made rules for a long time ( read … almost all my life ) regarding food and excercise. Until about more than 5 years ago when I discovered how to be able to enjoy food without counting and guilt. First I did it because I needed to heal myself and now because I thrive on this food! Love the effect it has on my body, energy and mind. And yes, I do choose raw almost all the time but I am not obsessed about every bite or ingredient. My goal is to apply it more to the food of my boys and family. To make it a whole instead of two worlds.
Using my new discovered kitchen tool, my Crock-Pot or slowcooker. I will post more recipes and info about this, what I think, great appliance. Besides raw more high raw foods and ideas for the whole family. And dishes that can be prepared two ways, raw or cooked.
I go for raw about 75 to 100 % each day. Non-raw foods I eat are full of nutrients and have to add something to my diet.
I would like to share my Black Bean Brownies recipe with you! Baked, can be eaten high raw, loaded with ingredients like sprouted black beans and almonds. Gluten and sugar free. .
Ingredients,
- 1 and 1/2 cup of soaked, may be sprouted, cooked black beans
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup maple or rice syrup or other liquid sweetener of choice
- stevia powder or drops, equivalent to 3 Tbsp. of sugar, to taste
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds plus 2 Tbsp. water, let it sit for 20 minutes, it will form a gel-like substance
- 2 Tbsp. cacao powder
- 1/2 cup rice flour or gluten free blend
- 1/4 cup apple sauce or mashed banana
- 1/8 tsp. pink salt
- 1 tsp. aluminium free bakimg powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla powder or essence
- 50 gram pure chocolate, 80 of 90 % cacao, grated or chopped
Add all the ingredients except the chopped chocolate to a food processor with the S-blade and keep working it until soft and creamy. You may have to stop a few times to scrape down the sides. Spread the dough in a lined or oiled baking tin, cover it with the chopped chocolate and bake it in a preheated oven on 180C / 350F degrees for about 20 minutes. It even tastes great unbaked. You can spread it into a tin and let it cool in the refrigerator. Tastes and feels like fudge. High raw.

Let the brownie cool in the tin and cut it squares. Njoy!
Thank you, Tina x
